The Energy Audit Process Includes:

LEVEL 1

  • Perform a preliminary energy audit of past utility usage and costs. Audit will document historic energy and water usage, peak demand and costs including taxes and adjustments. The audit establishes the past Energy Utilization Index (EUI) and Water Utilization index (WUI) and associated costs.
  • Compare current EUI  & WUI to past performance and to selected baselines.
  • Perform a walk through survey to identify no cost or low cost measures that will increase EUI & WUI performance. (Low Hanging Fruit)
  • Level 1 Energy Audit report indicating any low/no cost or capital improvement measures that will improve EUI & WUI performance.

LEVEL 2 (Includes all items from Level 1)

  • Review mechanical and electrical designs and review operating procedures.
  • Perform system assessment including energy and water usage measurements
  • Select and analyze recommended capital measures, include budget costs, anticipated savings and ROI.
  • Level 2 Energy Audit report. Review recommendations with the owner.
