KFI Engineers acquires Commissioning Concepts

ST. PAUL, MN — January 2, 2020 – KFI Engineers, a recognized industry leader in process and facility infrastructure design, announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire Commissioning Concepts, a Phoenix, AZ based commissioning firm. 


Commissioning Concepts was formed in 2007 and has been providing new and existing building technical commissioning and energy consulting services across a variety of sectors including healthcare, hospitality, education, government, manufacturing, commercial real estate and high-tech industries.

Commissioning

Our project managers and engineers are experienced in working on new construction, LEED, and retro-commissioning projects, developing detailed scopes of work, thorough design reviews, reviews of diagrams and sequence of operations, and providing technical and commissioning support during and after construction. 

  

We have the expertise and experience to provide commissioning services for any size facility and any type technical system required. Our strength in control systems, systems design and “how to make systems work” allow us to provide true technical commissioning to our clients. Retro-Commissioning

Commissioning Concepts provides Technical Retro-Commissioning of facility systems intended to improve the performance of the existing systems and to lower energy and water usage. 

LEED Commissioning

We are experienced in providing LEED building commissioning for all building systems. We have performed both Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning for all LEED versions including version 4. 


Our numerous LEED Commissioning projects range from LEED Certified to LEED Platinum facilities for both new construction and existing buildings. 

Building Enclosure Testing

Commissioning Concepts is a NEBB certified Building Enclosure Testing contractor with over 5 years of experience in testing building enclosures.  

Test & Balance

Commissioning Concepts is a NEBB certified TAB contractor with over 40 years of Test and Balance experience. We can provide expert TAB services for both air and water systems for any size or any type of building.  

Facility Assessment Services

Commissioning Concepts provides system assessments of buildings and their technical systems for the assessment of present condition and facility evaluation. These assessments can be from simple system reviews to complete facility cost indexing.
